A Personalised Approach to Alternative Provision
At Limisha Training Academy, we support learners who may benefit from a smaller, calmer and more personalised approach to learning.
Our practical, vocational programmes are shaped around individual strengths, needs and interests, helping learners re-engage with learning, build confidence, develop independence and make meaningful progress.
Who We Support
Our provision may be suitable for learners who:
- Have SEND or an EHCP
- Experience SEMH needs or anxiety around education
- Experience emotionally based school avoidance
- Are disengaged from learning or at risk of exclusion
- Find mainstream education difficult to access
- Have experienced placement breakdown
- Benefit from practical and vocational learning
- Require a reduced or personalised timetable
- Need support with confidence, communication or independence
A formal diagnosis or EHCP is not required for a learner to be considered for a placement. Each referral is considered individually to determine whether Limisha can provide suitable provision.
A Supportive Learning Environment
Learners may benefit from:
- Small-group learning
- Personalised support
- Calm, predictable routines
- A low-sensory environment
- Practical and engaging learning
- Positive relationships with trusted adults
- Flexible, individualised programmes
Working Together
We work collaboratively with schools, Local Authorities, SENCOs, SEND teams, education professionals, parents and carers to understand each learner’s needs and intended outcomes.
Where a placement is commissioned by a school or Local Authority, referral, funding and placement arrangements must be agreed before the placement begins.
Discuss a Learner’s Needs
If you are considering whether Limisha may be suitable for a learner, please get in touch. We are happy to discuss their needs, proposed attendance and intended outcomes before determining whether an appropriate placement can be offered.
Every learner is different. Every pathway is personal. Every step forward matters.
